about

This song is about an Oakland Band called Mosshead and my deep appreciation of them. I saw them play a show at the Night Light this weekend, and I was moved by there set and completely confused by the fact that they are not on the radio... playing sold out shows, and decorating the walls of teen girls bedrooms across the globe.

I also feel like Digital Underground took control of my vocals for this song and would like to tilt my hat to the humpty hump for inspiring me a bit : )

lyrics

They’re not on the radio
I could never understand how that rings true
How can every single question get lost in the room
Cause they keep on getting better with each new song they bring into view

It matters not, the way they move the air
I feel they are exactly where they want to be
I'm looking deep, and trying to pull
A complicated answer out of the hat

I’ve heard every single person round here state the interest they have in you
the alchemy on the walls
Lacing every drink in sight again
Turning grown men into kids
Dancing around in spite of it
Singing along without a hint
Bending the key and loving it

The tide was in but we just watched

They’re lost on the radio
I’ll remember everything after seven are spent
I'm hoping that they come for you
So we can dance around like it’s 96
I’d blast you on the radio, roll down the dows and crack the moon roof too
How can every single question get lost in the room
Cause they keep on getting nowhere with each new song they bring into view
